If you don't have a good, cohesive team when working on a project then for sure the project will be doomed to failure. Good chemistry between team members will accelerate the pace of the project, and the Project Manager won't have to spend a lot of time working on handling inter-team conflicts.

When the team is not cohesive, then conflicts will be part of everybody's life, this will decrease productivity, and team members will feel less interested in finishing the project.

If you work as a team, you can share idea's to find the best possible outcome for each solution. Also, all the team members will be less stressed out from having the whole project on their shoulders.
