This is only a partial quote. The whole quote is, "For the love of money is at the root of all kinds of evils." That means that money itself is OK, but Loving it (being greedy) ends up in all sorts of bad (evil) ways.

It comes from the New Testament of the Holy Bible in the Book of 1 Timothy, Chapter 6, Verse 10
