Total momentum in an isolated system does not change.

the law of physics that states that the linear momentum does not change unless an external force acts upon it

The law of conservation of momentum explains that momentum is neither lost or gained.

"when two bodies collide with one another, the total energy remains constant"

I COULDN'T SAY IT BETTER!

That means that the total amount of momentum doesn't change. This is relevant, for example, in a collision or Newton's Cradle. (5 balls hanging on a string, when you move one to hit the other balls, there is a reaction.)
"In closed system,when two bodies colloid,the total momentum before collision is equal to the total momentum after collision".

A B. A. B. A. B

->. ->. -> ->. ->. ->

⊙ ⊙ ⊙⊙ ⊙ ⊙

Consider two bodies A and B of masses m1 and m2 moving with velocities u1 and u2 respectively along the same direction.let the bodies colloid for 't' secs.

During the collision A exerts a force F1 on B ans B exerts an equal and opposite force F2 on A. After collision A Moves with a velocity V2.

Applying newtons second law motion ,the force exerted by the boo body B is:

F1=mass of B (acceleration of B)

(v2-u2)

F1=m2(----------).......1

t

Similarly force exerted by the body B on A is:

F1= mass of A (acceleration of A)

(V1-u1)

F2= m1(-----------) . ........2

T

What is neat about momentum is that even if the collision is not elastic, so that kinetic energy is lost to heat, etc., the momentum is yet preserved!

There is a quantity, called momentum (velocity x mass), that is conserved in a closed system - one that doesn't have contact with the outside. Note that both velocity and momentum should be treated as vectors - for example, if one object moves to the right, and another of equal mass moves with the same speed to the left, the total momentum of the two is zero.

In classical mechanics an isolated system with net external force equal to zero has a constant total momentum. It is a result you can get by applying Newton's third law to such a system.

What is a sentence using the law of conservation of momentum?

Conservation of momentum is an absolute symmetry of nature

What states that the total momentum of objects that interact do not change?

You have more or less described a law of physics known as conservation of momentum, which is not the same thing as the law of universal gravitation. The law of universal gravitation describes the way mass attracts other mass, and the law of conservation of momentum tells us that momentum is neither created nor destroyed. These two laws are not connected.

How can before and after situations be compared for collisions using the law of conservation of momentum?

The momentum before and after is the same, due to the Law of Conservation of momentum. Thus if you calculate the momentum before, then you have the after momentum or vice-versa.

Law of the conservation of angular momentum applies which body?

Law of conservation of momentum applies to any body on which no external torque is acting.

What is the relationship between momentum and law of conservation of momentum?

Well... the law of conservation of momentum states that "In a system consisting of bodies on which no outside forces are acting; the total momentum of the system remains the same."

What is the most significant similarity between conservation of energy and conservation of momentum?

in law of conservation of energy ENERGY IS CONSERVED and in law of conservation of momentum MOMENTUM IS CONSERVED. There's not similarity in these two laws. expect that in both laws , one quantity is conserved.
