You must wait until you are 21 to get your conceal and carry licenses in state, but a Maine out-of-state CCW license is valid in Missouri and only requires you be 18 to attain. If you check your local laws you may be able to open carry at age 18, open carry is the only thing not preempted by Mo. state law which means it is up to individual municipalities.

∙ 11y agoThe last person to answer this question was obviously uneducated. You can be gifted a gun at any age in Missouri, so long as you don't carry it or it isn't automatic. You can buy long guns (shotguns, rifles) at any age in a private transaction WITH parental consent, and at a dealer at age 18. You can buy handguns in a private transaction at 18, and at a dealer at age 21. I'm pretty sure under age 18, you can own a handgun with consent of an adult over 21, BUT you might just want to call someone about that.
