The D90 shutter is rated for 100,000 actuations. So if you shot 2100 photos per month (which is alot of shooting), you might need to have the shutter serviced for about $65 in 4 years. Of course by that time you would probably want to upgrade to a newer model. This rating is about double the actuation ratings for the low end Nikon, or Canon DSLRs. A pro grade camera might be good for 200,000, or more which puts this model in the mid grade category.
