Normally the liquid used is either a spirit or another form of alcohol, which is where they get their alternate name, the spirit level.
When a liquid is held in a vessel, the water adheres to the side of the vessel. So when the amount of liquid held by the vessel is less than the full amount the vessel will hold, the liquid level rises where it touches the vessel. It "sticks" to the side of the vessel hard enough to be above the top of the liquid. This is called a negative meniscus. When the level of the liquid is higher than the top of the vessel (but doesn't overflow the top due to the surface tension of the liquid), then there is a positive meniscus.
Liquid level gauges are used to show the level of liquid in a container. They are most often used to view the level of liquid in tanks and boilers in an industrial setting.
If you have a large container and the opening has a large cross section and the container is kept still, the liquid inside will become flat. It will be level. The liquid will remain level. If some liquid is added or removed the surface will soon become level again. That would not happen with a solid.

When solid is formed from liquid, then it is called solidilification. solidification Liquid ------------------------> Solid

If the liquid is static or moving with a constant velocity, then liquid pressure at a particular level is constant. In case the liquid is in accelerated motion we will get variation in the liquid pressure at a particular level
Logic box liquid level 38
This is called parallax error.
A liquid will generally find it's own level.
I would say strength as in weak or strong. Possibly intense if something was highly flavored.

Mercury the liquid inside thermometer is mercury.. but it is called thermometric liquid.
The level of the liquid goes up because the object and the liquid can't take up the same space so the liquid flows up around it so they can both have space.
