Jobs in modern Greece are like everywhere else. There are many traditional professions that have disappeared due to modernisation and financial development. A huge part of the population works in the public and private sector, many Greeks work in the shipping industry but not as much as in the 50's - 70's. Many work in the agriculture sector, and of course, especially during the summer, a lot of Greeks work in the tourist industry.
The most common job in Greece is probably a fisherman.
