What is the meaning of erosion?
Natural springs are not a means of water erosion. Some types of water erosion include rain, streams, rivers, and ocean waves.
Erosion is caused when a river turns at a meander. When the water splashes against the side of the meander. After a long long time the edge of the meander is worn away. This i…s erosion.
Erosion is the wearing away of the surface of the earth! Erosion is the process by which soil and rock are removed from the Earth's surface by natural processes such as wind …or water flow, and then transported and deposited in other locations. . the process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents . The gradual destruction or diminution of something: "the erosion of support for the party" . The wearing away of land or soil by the action of wind, water, or ice. In hydrologic terms, wearing away of the lands by running water, glaciers, winds, and waves, can be subdivided into three process: Corrasion, Corrosion, and Transportation. Weathering, although sometimes included here, is a distant process which does not imply removal of any material wearing away of rock or soil by the gradual detachment of soil or rock fragments by water, wind, ice, and other mechanical or chemical forces.the wearing away of the earth's surface by running water, wind, ice, or other geological agents; processes, including weathering, dissolution, abrasion, corrosion, and transportation, by which material is removed from the earth's surface
movement of sediment by wind , water ice or gravity
When the river flow through its path due to pressure of river on the bank the soil gets loosen and starts to fall is known as erosion
Erosion is when rocks or sand rub together, and over millions of years it breaks down into dust, sand, or what ever you might call it. Erosion wears away the land. The land is… worn away by wind and water erosion. Raindrops cause splash erosion.
Erosion is where one object is wearing away another. For example, the sea erodes the cliffs away very gradually. This is why the beaches are getting closer inland. (Only a s…mall amount at a time) Erosion is to slowly detirerate... My Geography teacher told me the meaning so if im mistaken or wrong then it's his fault.
Erosion occur via natural or man- made weathering. For example, Rocks (ignious) weather to form sand. Weathering is as it sounds: the process that causes erosion by Rain (acid… rain included), Flooding, hail, etc. the rain fills the cracks in a rock (for example) then freezes with the temprature. Then when the temprature gets above freezing the particles in the rock get excited and during that motion the H2O particles from the melted ice merge together which causes the physical properties of the rock to separate to make room. This is the cause of a crack, once there are enough cracks then the rock will break down. The process continues until the rock particles are granulated like sand. I hope this helps, if you want it "dummed down" then basically, it rains, the water gets into the rock, the rock starts to crack, the rock breaks, the rock continues to do so until it is sand (or otherwise depending upon the rock)
Erosive energy means that it is eroding, wearing away, or breaking down th eearth;s surface. It takes the energy of erosive energy that makes the erding move quickly with ener…gy.
It means rock that was deposited in its current place after traveling via erosion. Ie a river sweeps through a canyon, slowly eroding away the sides. These bits of sides that …erode off fall into the river and are carried a few miles away and then dropped off at a river bank, creating a deposit of sandstone rock, for example.
it means the agents that cause break down of rocks, soil and mud into minute particles like dust and sand which holds things loosely. thereby causing trouble to the ecosys…tem. trees can easily be uprooted during a storm, etc.
It means the process of wearing away by wind, water, etc.
