That children don't care if you are Jewish or black or gay because they are innocent

If your German, Jewish, Chinese, etc. kids don't care. They're innocent. They can't really tell the difference. When Bruno thinks about siding with his father, he realizes something isn't right. When he goes into the camp, he decides to help his friend.

It also shows that people care about stupid things. If your "different" they won't even give you a chance, at anything. If an 8 year old knows that, shouldn't an adult?

God told us to love our neighbors, even if they are different. I think that that would be the first step, to stopping wars, and caring about stupid things.

Make friends with the girl who has glasses. Talk to the boy who has braces. It doesn't matter on the outside, its on the inside that counts. You shouldn't just hate someone, the way the Germans hated Jews. I bet there were possibly a few Germans who were againist it. Hatred kills.

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas is a reminder of how we DON'T want something like this to happen. I mean, it was serious then, right? It put the world to war/
The message to be shared in this book was to show us that it doesn't matter what race, religion, or country you come from, that we are all equals.
