The semi-autonomous region of Nunavut, the newest territorial jurisdiction of Canada, has very few major population centers and so, not surprisingly, the largest city is also the capital, Iqaluit. Iqaluit (pronounced 'ee-KAL-oo-it') was called Frobisher Bay for most of its history, but the name was changed to a more aboriginal name in 1987. It's population is under ten thousand and it's located on the southern end of Baffin Island, Canada's largest island.
Well, the Northernmost Territory in Canada is Nunavut, so the capital must be Iqaluit.
Glad to help! :) Love,
Rocio.
