120 (sys) 80 (diastolic) is the classic answer for highest normal blood pressure in adults. For adults, healthy blood pressure targets depend on health history, with lower targets for adults with certain conditions. Children's blood pressure norms are based on age and height percentile.

The normal range for the average adult is 120/80. Some people will have a lower number such as 112/72, that is my number. I do a lot of jogging so that is why mine is that low. Other people can have a higher number such as 150/90 which would considered high.

The normal systolic should be below 120 and the normal diastolic should be below 80. The systolic is the top number while the diastolic is the bottom number.

What is a normal bloodpressure?

Hypertension- high blood pressure. (Hypotension- low blood pressure) High blood pressure is the pressure that is placed in your arteries when the heart pumps your blood. High blood pressure is an above average pressure that could eventually lead to things like strokes or heart attacks. Blood pressure is broke down by systolic and diastolic. Systolic readings are normally the higher of the two pressures when getting your blood pressure taken. If your systolic is lower than your diastolic then you probably aren't reading this and maybe in the hospital or even dead. Diastolic is the pressure left over in the arterie after the heart refills for another pump. Giving you a lower reading. Normal blood pressure should range around 140/80. If it is higher than that it would be a good idea to start an exercise program and diet.

What are normal values for blood pressure measurement?

Normal blood pressure levels are around 120 systolic and 70 diastolic. But the safe zone starts at 90 (low normal) up to 140 (high normal) on the systolic and 60 (low normal) up to 90 (borderline) with the diastolic. Much of it also depends on the individual and their height and weight as well.
