At 82º30'N, Alert is the most northern community in the world. Alert is home to a Canadian Forces Station, in addition to an Environment Canada weather station, and atmosphere monitoring laboratory. Alert is in the Canadian Territoy of Nunavut. There have been people living in Alert since the 1950's.

Heres the wiki link:

And to see what its like to live there for work, I found a cool blog from a guy called Kevin which you can find at the link below.

It is Point Roberts at 49 degrees north Latitude. Some will say Blaine but it is 48.52 north latitude. That makes Point Roberts a half a degree farther north than Blaine and thus the northern most town in Washington state.

Point Roberts. Not only does it lie on the border with Canada (as many cities do) but it is solely connected to Canada and requires Canadian services.

Alaska. We are the Northern-most, Eastern-most, and Western-most State in the Union. Edit by other member: no, it is not Alaska. First of all, Alaska is not in the continental US and second of all it is also not the eastern most state in the union. The actual westernmost point is debatable: Cape Mendocino in California or western Washington.
