Cadillac 1958 with the compression ratio of 10.25:1 should not run on gas below 98 octane.
98
30:1 is recommended in the manual.
32 to 1 being 8oz of oil to 1 gallon of gas
98 is the ratio of 98 to 1. So it's a rational number.

The Fuel mixture Recomended By Honda for a 98 CR250 is 32:1 which means 16 ounces of HP2 Honda premix oil ( 1 Pint) to every 5 gallons of gas. I choose to mix 4 ounces to every gallon of gas, less spark plug fouling and alot crisper throttle response. Someone can't do math, it's 1 pint oil to 4 gallons gas. I usually mix mine 3.9 gallons 91 octane(I should use 96) gas to a pint of yamalube high performance 2 stroke oil. 32:1 is correct
It is rational because it can be written as a ratio of two integers where the denominator is not zero. The number 98 can be written as 98/1.
The required fuel/oil ratio for the 98 model, 25 hp Mercury outboard is 50:1. This is roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
