In a typical electric power plant, the thermal energy produced by burning fuel is used to boil water or making steam. The mechanical energy of the steam then turns a turbine. The turbine is connected to a generator, which consists of powerful magnets surrounded by coils of copper wire. As the magnets turn inside the wire coil, and electric current is produced, This current flows through power lines to homes and industries.
(Hopefully dis answers your question. I am not certain if this is right though.)

Nuclear fission refers to the splitting of an atomic nucleus. It occurs naturally and can be induced in order to release energy. Nuclear fission provides the energy released by nuclear weapons as well as the energy used to produce energy at nuclear power plants.
A lower order energy cannot be completely coverted into a higher order energy. Heat energy is a lower order energy and work is higher order energy. Therefore it is not possible to convert heat into work without loosing some energy according to the second law of thermodynamics. But a higher order energy can be coverted completely into lower order energy and it will not violate the second law of thermodynamics.
active sensors are sensors that transmit some kind of energy ( microwave , sound , light , .... ) into the environment in order to detect the changes that occur on the transmitted energy . That means it transmits and detect at the same time . But passive sensors don't transmit energy but only detects the energy transmitted from an energy source, e.g. motion detectors which are mostly passive infrared sensors.
energy changes because the energy needs to transfere in order to become heat energy, sound energy.
It goes from solar to chemical, if you want a short easy way to figure this out just think what goes in and what comes out.

ATP
It shows the energy requirements needed in order for a reaction to occur.
In order to carry out vital activities, plants need to release energy from their foods.
Plants store chemical energy in sugar molecules. Plants go through photosynthesis in order to grow and store the food they need.
Photosynthesis would not occur because plants need sunlight in order to live. Sunlight is converted into the chemical energy that plants can use for growing, reproduction, etc. Without light, plants can't gain enough energy.
they must be buried.
The energy for photoshythesis in plants come from the sun.
The cell does not need to use any ATP in order for osmosis to occur.
Energy.
They collect the energy from the sun in order to make the energy to grow.
