Fair Trade is an organisation that gives a fair price to farmers and traders who make produce to sell for a living. It does not discriminate against poor farmers and gives them a deal that is sustainable and reasonable. It was established in 1992 and has been a successful charity ever since with many products from chocolate to footballs. It has made itself a worldwide name with a very recognisable symbol.
