pH value of distilled water would be 5,6 and 7 as interaction with the atmosphere allows carbon dioxide to dissolve into it, forming carbonic acid.

salt on its own has no ph value but , when mixed in water the ph value of common salt is 7 and it is neutral.

Describes a solution with a pH lower than the pH of distilled water?

Water is neutral (pH 7). Lower numbers than 7 are acids- the lower the number, the stronger the acid.

What describes a solution with a pH lower than the pH of distilled water?

Solutions with lower concentration of H+ (H3O+) ions than pure water are basic solutions.

What is a hypotonic solution of NaCl?

a solution with a higher concentration of NaCl than water.

What would happen if you placed a slice of cucumber in distilled water?

If a cucumber is placed in distilled water, the water molecules will flow into the cell by osmosis. This happens because the distilled water solution has a lower osmotic pressure than the cucumber cell.

Why do you give distilled water to a preson with heat stroke rather than electrolyte or glucose solution?

What term describes a solution that has a lower solute concentration and a higher concentration water concentration than another solution?

Hypotonic is a solution in which the water concentration is is high and the solute is lower than other solutions.

Does tap water solidify first than distilled water?

The difference in temperature is not significant; for an impure water the freezing point is lower.

Is it good to grow plants in distilled water?

no. all things being equal and if the nutrients in the soil did not interact with the distilled water then distilled water has a lower osmotic potential than the cell sap in the roots; this would result in reverse osmosis from the roots (higher osmotic potential) to the soil (lower osmotic potential).

What keeps plants crisper distilled water or tap water?

Distilled water. It has less bacteria and chemicals in it than tap water.

Why does an NaCl solution freeze at lower temperature than water but boils at higher temperature than water?

NaCl solution freezes at lower temp. than water but boils at higher temp.than water

Sea water has a lower vapor pressure than distilled water?

yes.. due to presence of salts the evaporation tendency of water becomes decreased....

Why sugar cube floats on oil?

a solution of water and sugar has a greater density than plain water. Because the solution is more dense than plain water, objects of lower density than the solution will float
