Suspence
The 'Mcguffin' is a plot device used in suspense or thriller movies. It is most famously used by Alfred Hitchcock. It is something in the movie that drives the plot, motivates the characters and focuses the attention of the audience ( Hitchcock uses it to distract and lead astray their expectations) , but has no actual impact on the overall plot. An example of a Mcguffin would be the money that Marion Crane steals in the film 'Psycho'; we spend the first part of the movie watching her steal the money and make her escape with it but by the time she reaches the Bates Motel the money has become irrelevant.

The part of the plot where the tension eases is typically referred to as the falling action. During this phase, the main conflicts are resolved, and the story moves towards its conclusion. The falling action provides a sense of closure and wraps up any remaining loose ends in the plot.

The stage that comes right after the conflict in a plot is the resolution. In this stage, the conflicts and complications are resolved, leading to the story's conclusion and a sense of closure for the reader.
Well, think of it this way: would you rather read a story with a boring plot or one that's exciting and full of tension and suspense? Plot is just what we call what happens in a story, so it's obvious that it's an important part of any story.
In this part of the story, Doyle's specific purpose may be to create tension and suspense, to highlight a key trait or flaw of a character, or to advance the plot by introducing a significant event or revelation.

An unexpected event in a play is known as a plot twist. Plot twists are used to surprise the audience, create suspense, or change the direction of the story.
The most emotional part of the plot would be the climax. The climax is the peak of action and suspense, where you're just certain everything is going to go wrong for the hero. All of the tension and emotion builds until it reaches the climax. Then, once that point is reached, everything can relax and end the story.
The resolution.

Complications are the new factors added to the plot that give the main character new problems to deal with.
