Wild Goose Chase

According to dictionary.com (linked below) the correct plural of "mongoose" is "mongooses."

Mongoose is made plural by the addition of an "s," just like other nouns with regular plurals. e.g. noose/nooses, papoose/papooses, caboose/cabooses.

For etymology and comparison with the irregular plural for "goose," see Related links below this box.

The plural form of mongoose is Mongooses.

Mongeese is incorrect as the word is NOT derived from geese but from the Marathi word maṅgūs.
