The purpose of praise and worship is so you can show your love for God and how awesome you think He is. It is also a great way for Him to speak to your heart.

PRAISE - The Bible uses words like "Praise God with instruments", "Shout Praises to his Name". Praise is a celebration of God and giving him honor. Praise takes on many forms; formal hymns or contemporary worship or dance and shouting. It is giving glory to God for who He is and what he has done.

WORSHIP - Worship is more of a reverance and awe of God. We use the term "worship the King" even for earthly men which usually means to kneel down or prostrate yourself before a throne. Spiritual worship usually takes the form of bowing down before God. In Revelations, the Elders bow down and worship saying "Holy, Holy, Holy". Today, we worship God sometimes in music at a time when we are in awe and weeping before God who touches our heart.

AnswerAs long as he is the only God you believe in. Talk to him regulaly, come to Him for help, listen to him, and follow the road that He is trying to lead you.

The primary purpose of praising and worshipping God is to solidify the bond of love between man and God. In other words, the relationship of the believer with God is strengthened through praise and worship.

It has been a common idea of humanity for thousands of years that if you worship or please the god(s) then you shall be rewarded with anything from rain to afterlife. The validity to that has been dying. I don't worship anything and I'm not getting struck down by lightning, nor am I getting bad harvests ect.

Why was music important in the Bible?

Music is an important part of worship and praise to God. Most of the verses about music talk about singing, but some mention instruments. Perhaps the best-known is Psalm 150: " Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. "
