Salary implies the doctor is working for someone else. So, a salary depends on what you are doing to make money for the company the doctor works for. Probably $30,000 to start right out of med school, to millions, if your research finds the cure for cancer.

The average specialist salary is around 180-250k which is still low.
There is no question that medical doctors are some of the highest paid specialists in America. A doctor's income can range from 80, 000 dollars a year to 3, 000, 000 dollars a year. Three factors that contribute to this difference in yearly income are a doctor's specialty, affiliation, and ownership in a private practice medical group. For example, a Gastroenterologist who is employed by a hospital, or a large medical corporation, will usually make less than a Gastroenterologist who shares ownership in an 8 to 20 man private practice medical group. This differentiation in yearly income also applies for Cardiologists, Neurologists, OBGYNs, Radiologists, Anesthesiologists, Urologists, Oncologists, and Pediatrists. These specialists are capable of making up to 600, 000 dollars a year if they share ownership in a private practice medical group. This number can be cut in half if these specialists are employed by a hospital, or a large medical corporation. Now, Internists, Family Practitioners, and Pediatricians are among the lowest paid doctors in America. This is because their level of expertise does not include costly medical procedures. Their average work day mainly consists of basic examinations, prescribing medications, and referring patients to specialists, which does not generate a large amount of income. On the other hand, Orthopedic Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Cardiovascular Surgeons, and Pediatric Surgeons, are among the highest paid doctors in America. These specialists are capable of making 800, 000 dollars a year to 3, 000, 000 dollars a year regardless of being in a private practice medical group, or being an employee of a hospital. This is because the cost of surgery is extremely high, and these specialists generate a large amount of income for a hospital; therefore, their yearly income is extremely high. Now, certain medical specialists who share ownership in a private practice medical group are capable of making up to 1, 000, 000 dollars a year. These specialists include Dermatologists, Ophthalmologists, and Orthodontists. This is because their level of expertise includes cosmetic (cash up front) care, and/or highly expensive medical procedures.
Before you become a doctor, you must go to 4 years of premed school and med school. You then get your degree, but must complete a residency before you can practice outside of a hospital. Residences last from 1 to 9 years, depending on your specialty. You get paid to be a resident. After you complete your residency, you become an attending. Attendings are the doctors you see in your local family clinic (mostly). Attendings get paid $60,000 to $96,000 a year.

That, of course, depends upon the kind of Dr. and the place the Dr. chooses to practice. Usually Dr. salaries are higher than individuals in other career paths. The reason for that is the length of time Drs. must spend learning their trade which in turn, takes "heaps" of money. A medical Dr. can demand and receive more salary than an individual who has a Ph.D in another area of expertise. I KNOW that because I know an individual that has a Ph.D in research in a field outside of medicine. His salary is good and he does spend long hours doing what he does, but his family's lifestyle is quite ordinary and they do not possess mountains of money. Whatever the case, I am grateful for medical Drs. who know and use lifesaving expertise in many cases to make the lives of the rest of us more comfortable and give our lives more quality as we journey along our own paths. Ph.Ds also contribute to our lives indirectly by making our food products safer and various aspects more palatable in whatever category their training has been. I'll bet YOU are making the world a better place being the individual YOU are! I am grateful for the trash collector because he hauls away things that would make our lives less pleasant if there were not things to do with the waste our home accumulates. We all have a part to contribute in the whole scheme of life. If we do not receive the financial reward of a Dr., we can still make our contribution and reap the rewards of being worthy of friendships and prestige knowing we've made a difference in somebody's life!

Do you want to become a Doctor? Family doctors make about $300,000-$600,000 a year. One year. Pediatricians is a doctor for babies/ young children. They make about $300,000-$400,000 a year. They make a little less than Family doctors. I'm going to be a Family doctor when i grow up. I promised my family that I would become a doctor. My dad wants me to become something like a doctor, lawyer, or some career that makes good money. If you become rich, you can have anything you want. Dream house with a inside and outside pool. Big balcony like Romeo and Juliet. If a doctor can do it, they know you can. But, its only your choice. No one else's. Just yours. So, if you want to be something some day, make good grades and go to college. Get into the medical degree. Its the best degree to get into. When you graduate from high school, pick up the phone and call a college. Right away. You can have it easier in life if you want it to be. :)

If you work for a week probably 700 dollars but for 1 or 2 days 70 dollars
The pay you receive as a doctor depends on many factors. One factor it depends on is the type of doctor you are. A anesthesiologist would get more than a general physician in most situations. Another factor that it depends on is your experience and rank in the hospital. The longer you have worked and the higher you are, the more you make. The average salary for a typical doctor is about $110,000.

It depends on what sort of doctor you are, if you are a sugeon, if you own part of the partnership in your work building, and how many patients you see. A busy doctor sees fifty patients per day, and maybe cetrain surgeries.
