What is the significance of the number 30 in the Bible?
The number "Ten" refers to "Completness". It is a man's number pertaining to things on the Earth. Therefore, "doubled means certainty.
Five is the number of God's grace or His gift to man. There were 5 stones that David picked up to kill Goliath. God gave him the victory. There were five loaves and fi…shes in which God gave to feed the multitude. In the tabernacle, there were five curtains, bars, and pillars. If Israel would have obeyed God, five of them would chase a thousand.
Twelve is a perfect number, signifying perfection of government, or of governmental perfection. It is found as a multiple in all that has to do with rule. The sun which "rules…" the day, and the moon and stars which "govern" the night, do so by their passage through the twelve signs of the Zodiac which completes the great circle of the heavens of 360 (12 x 30) degrees or divisions, and thus govern the year. Twelve is the product of 3 (the perfectly Divine and heavenly number) and 4 (the earthly, the number of what is material and organic). While seven is composed of 3 added to 4, twelve is 3 multiplied by 4, and hence denotes that which can scarcely be explained in words, but which the spiritual perception can at once appreciate, viz., organization, the products denoting production and multiplication and increase of all that is contained in the two numbers separately. The 4 is generally prominently seen in the twelve. THERE WERE Twelve PATRIARCHS from Seth to Noah and his family, and twelve from Shem to Jacob. THE Twelve SONS OF ISRAEL though actually thirteen in number, there are never more than twelve names in any one list. There are about 18 enumerations altogether, but in each list one or other is omitted. Generally it is Levi, but not always. In Revelation 7 both Dan and Ephraim are omitted , but the enumeration is still twelve, Levi and Joseph being introduced for this special sealing of the remnant which shall go unscathed through the great tribulation. Then there were twelve Judges. THE TEMPLE OF SOLOMON has the number twelve as the predominating factor, in contrast with the Tabernacle, which had the number five. This agrees with the grace which shines in the Tabernacle, and with the glory of the kingdom which is displayed in the Temple. When we come to the New Testament we find the same great principle pervading the Apostolic government as we see in the Patriarchal and National, for we have: The twelve Apostles. The twelve foundations in the heavenly Jerusalem. The twelve gates. The twelve pearls. The twelve angels. THE MEASUREMENT OF THE NEW JERUSALEM will be 12,000 furlongs square, while the wall will be 144 (12 x 12) cubits, Revelation 21:16,17. The number of the sealed in Revelation 7:4 will be 144,000, and all that has to do with the Twelve Tribes is necessarily pervaded by this number, such as the stones in the High Priest's breastplate, the stones taken out of the Jordan, the number of the spies, etc. etc., and therefore we have not referred to all such reference in these pages. TWELVE PERSONS WERE ANOINTED for government of various kinds. Of course, all kings, priests, prophets, and healed lepers were anointed; but the circumstances of the anointing of twelve individuals is specially recorded. Of these, five were priests (Aaron and his four sons, Exodus 6:23) and seven were kings: Aaron, Exodus 29:7,9, etc. Nadab, Exodus 29:7,9, etc. Abihu, Exodus 29:7,9, etc. Eleazar, Exodus 29:7,9, etc. Ithamar, Exodus 29:7,9, etc. Saul, 1 Samuel 10:1. David, * 1 Samuel 16:13. Absalom, 2 Samuel 19:10. Solomon, 1 Kings 1:39. Jehu, 2 Kings 9:6. Joash, 2 Kings 11:12. Jehoahaz, 2 Kings 23:30. * David was anointed three times, viz: by Samuel, 1 Samuel 16:13; by the men of Judah, 2 Samuel 2:4; by the elders of Israel, 2 Samuel 5:3. It will be observed from the above list that Saul, the man of man's choice, is thus stamped with the number 6. David, the man of God's choice is stamped with the number seven. For Saul and David are the sixth and seventh respectively in order. The words, "a man after God's own heart," mean simply a man of God's choice, and not that God approved of all the sins which David fell into. TWELVE YEARS of age was Jesus when He first appears in public (Luke 2:42) and utters His first-recorded words. TWELVE LEGIONS of angels mark the perfection of angelic powers (Matthew 26:53). THE HALF OF TWELVE sometimes denotes interruption or defect in human government, while THE NUMBER OF OCCURRENCES of words agrees with its signification. for example: aulh, aulee, "palace," occurs twelve times. Additional Answer: In biblical numerology, some consider the number 12 to indicate 'organizational beginnings' and give the 12 months, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 Apostles as examples. Also, multiples are the same but only intensified like the 144,000 of Revelation.
50 - represents power and celebration. The Jubilee came after the 49th year (Leviticus 25:10), and Pentecost occurred 50 days after Christ's resurrection (Acts 2). This …is what i was also looking for so hope you like the answer
50 days after the resurrection, God gave the Holy Spirit to the churh (Pentecost). Also every 50 years is Jubilee. This is the year debts are forgiven and slaves are fre…ed.
The number 20 represents expectancy. Waiting on God for his promises to manifest in our lives. Expecting results from our prayers and our faith. CJM
None. Fifty four as a number does not appear in the Bible on its own. It only appears as the end of a larger number such as Ezr 2:7 The children of Elam, a thousand two hun…dred fifty and four. In this form it appears several times
This number is called "the number of the beast" in Revelation 13:18. It is a kind of secret code so that the original readers could work out the identity of the beast. Actuall…y the code is not very secret, and anyone who knows the Hebrew alphabet can work it out. You assign a number to each letter, then add up the numbers. One person whose Hebrew name adds up to 666 is NERO CAESAR. This is almost certainly the person intended, as he persecuted the Christians and forced everyone to worship himself. Nero was murdered, but some people were convinced by a pretender who claimed that the not-quite-dead Emperor had come back.
When God flooded the earth, Noah was stuck on the boat for forty days and forty nights. Jesus was "lost in the desert" for 40 days. This is just off the top of my head, i …think your best bet would be to Google it/ type it into a religious search engine of some sort. -kt
Answer new answer The number one represents the use of individuality and the use of the aggresive quality which is the initiation of effort toward a goal. Zeros repres…ent understanding which has been added through experience and the use of reasoning. Look to see what experience is being referred to through the use of the number 100 in order to see the significance. You may find a complete explanation of the numbers in the book, "Universal Language of Mind, Matthew interpreted", by Dr. Daniel Condron.
A: Several numbers have obvious significance in the Bible, especially the numbers 7, 17 and 40 (and other multiples of 20). In terms of understanding the tra…ditions behind the Bible, the number 17 must be the most significant number, since most of the generations from Adam down to the Patriarchs are based on lifespans that involve the number 17. The significance of this is in learning that numerology played an important part in early Hebrew religion, and that biblical characters did not really live to such great ages. If we look at the first five legendary ancestors, we see: Adam ...... 930.. 7x9 + 51x17 [3x17x17] Seth ........ 912.. 5x9 + 51x17 Enos ........ 905.. 8x9 + 49x17 Cainan .... 910.. 6x10 + 50x17 Mahalalel 895.. 5x9 + 50x17 If we look at the Patriarchs: Abraham lived to 175 (5 X 5 X 7) Isaac lived to 180 (6 X 6 X 5) Jacob lived to 147 (7 X 7 X 3 Each lifespan involves a perfect square (5, 6, then 7 in a numeric series), the third factor also forms a series (7, 5, 3) in each case the sum of the factors is 17. Furthering the above formulas, Genesis says Sarah lived to 127 years, which is the sum of these consecutive square numbers plus 17 (127 = 5x5 +6x6 + 7x7 + 17).
A: The only time that the number 14 is used in the Bible with significance is in Matthew's version of the genealogy of Jesus. The author knew the the power of numerology to co…nvince the superstitious people of their time, and the numbers 7 and 14 had particular importance. Matthew demonstrates that there were 14 generations: from Abraham to David; from David to Josiah; from Josiah to Jesus. To do this, it has to ignore 3 kings in the Old Testament and have David in the preceding (as 14) and following (as 1) groups, but not so Josiah. The number 14 probably did not have unique siginificance other than as a multiple of 7, which was also seen as propitious. The author of Luke, writing about twenty years after Matthew, knew nothing of what Matthew had said, and so produced another genealogy that had great men occur in multiples of 7 generations starting from Adam, with: Enoch at 7; Abraham at 21; David at 35; Jesus at 77. He also had: Joseph at 42 and 70; Jesus (Jose) at 49. To do this, he had to insert his own fictitious people into the Old Testament list: Kainan at 13; Admin at 28. In both cases, the significance was to show by means of numerology that Jesus was intended for greatness. Of course, it is not possible for Joseph's father to be called Jacob (Matthew) but also called Heli (Luke), and New Testament scholars say that neither genealogy is likely to be historically accurate. Another Answer: In biblical numerology, some have claimed the number 7 and multiples of it (in this case 14), to represent 'perfection/completion.'

-------------------- The Jews and early Christians had a fascination for propitious numbers, and many examples of numerology occur in the Bible. Significant biblical numbers… include 3, 7, 14, 17 and 40. Numbers, by themselves, are not necessarily convincing, but apparently meaningful sequences can be used as evidence of divine intent. One example from the Old Testament works at two levels, first demonstrating pairs of special mathematical sequences, and at another level demonstrating that each group of those sequence adds up to the number 17. The Bible says that: Abraham lived to 175 (5 X 5 X 7)Isaac lived to 180 (6 X 6 X 5)Jacob lived to 147 (7 X 7 X 3)Each lifespan involves a perfect square (5, 6, then 7 in a numeric series),the third factor also forms a series (7, 5, 3)and in each case the sum of the factors is 17. The priestly tribe of Levites was said to be descended from Levi, great grandfather of Moses who, along with Joshua, fulfilled the covenant that God gave to the patriarchs. We find a similar fascination with elegant series and the number 17 in the lives of: Levi, who lived to 137 (7 X 5 + 6 X 17)Amran, Moses' father, who also lived to 137 (therefore also 7 X 5 + 6 X 17)Moses, who lived to 120 (7 X 5 + 5 X 17)Joshua, who lived to 110 (5 X 5 + 5 X 17). Joseph, who became the leader of the Israelites in Egypt, also lived to 110 (5 X 5 + 5 X 17). Another Old Testament example of the special significance of the number 17 occurs in the life of the Bible's oldest human, Methuselah. He had his first son at 187 (17 X 11 years) and died at 969 (17 X 57 years). Two different but related examples from the New Testament are the genealogies of Jesus in Matthew and Luke, both of which prove by numerology that Jesus was predestined to be the Messiah: Matthew demonstrated that there were 14 generations: from Abraham to David; from David to Josiah; from Josiah to Jesus. To do this, he had to ignore 3 kings who appear in the Old Testament and have David in the preceding (as 14) and following (as 1) groups, but not so Josiah.Luke had great men occur in multiples of 7 generations starting from Adam, with: Enoch at 7; Abraham at 21; David at 35; Jesus at 77. He also had: Joseph at 42 and 70; Jesus (Jose) at 49. To do this, he had to insert his own presumably fictitious people into the Old Testament list: Kainan at 13; Admin at 28. There are twelve constellations in the zodiac, and the number 12 occurs occasionally in the Bible. Jacob had 12 sons. There are supposedly 12 tribes of Israel. If the descendants of Levi, a son of Jacob, formed the priestly class, this creates a problem because there should only be 11 tribes of Israel, but this seems to have been solved by Joseph's two sons eaching heading a tribe of Israel. Jesus also had 12 disciples. These may simply be a series of coincidences, but if so they do form an unusual set of coincidences. The number 40 also occurs frequently, perhaps simply as a shorthand way of indicating a large number or a long time.
There may be more than one answer, but one answer for sure is that 11 is the number of promises that God made to the Israelites in Ex 23:22-31.

One Perspective: As mentioned above, man was created on the 6th day of creation; one day short of the complete seven-day week. And it's revealed in the book of Revel…ation: "...Let the one who has understanding solve the number of the Beast [the world calls him 'Antichrist'], for it is the number of a MAN. His number is 666." (Rev.13:18 NLT New Living Translation) God's number of "completeness" is "7"... as the seven-day creation account is completed with the Holy Sabbath day of the LORD. And His number of "perfection" is "3." The book of Revelation, for example, is a parable, composed of "three sets of sevens": the Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets, and the final Seven Vial plagues of God's wrath poured out on the earth at the end of man's allotted time of rule on the earth, before Jesus descends from the clouds onto the earth with His Government. These "three sets of sevens" result in the "PERFECT COMPLETION OF GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION" for the world, the re-birth of man -- which results in a "new beginning." "...'Look, I AM making all things new!' And then He said to me, 'Write this down, for what I tell you is Trustworthy and True.'" (Rev.21:5 NLT) Man on the other hand is "incomplete" without God's Holy Spirit... the very thing that flesh and blood man is born without... and the very thing that man needs in order to be "re-born" [to undergo his second birth] into God's Divine, Holy, Immortal Family at the end of God's present plan: "For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that WE ARE GOD'S CHILDREN." (Rom.8:16 NLT) "All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and THEY WILL BE MY CHILDREN." (Rev.21:7 NLT) Just as all men struggle to be born in the flesh the first time, the biblical evidence points to man's obvious "incompleteness" regarding his ultimate "spiritual creation" -- that future "second birth" toward which all men strive in this first taste of all our lives, experiencing both good and evil. Each man is developing his own character and unique personality; whatever it may turn out to be... whatever sort of "child" they may grow and develop into, with Righteous Character or bad character. With God's Holy Spirit... or without it. The number "666" we're told, is "the number of a MAN" [perfectly incomplete and short of the Glory of God]. It falls just "short of 777," or "Complete Perfection" -- the Perfection of God.
It has been already pointed out that ten is one of the perfect numbers, and signifies the perfection of Divine order , commencing, as it does, an altogether new series of n…umbers. The first decade is the representative of the whole numeral system, and originates the system of calculation called "decimals," because the whole system of numeration consists of so many tens , of which the first is a type of the whole.. Completeness of order, marking the entire round of anything, is, therefore, the ever-present signification of the number ten . It implies that nothing is wanting; that the number and order are perfect; that the whole cycle is complete.
