A:Religion does fill a need in society, bcause it provides comfort for some in time of trouble. Without religion, we would develop other ways of helping those who are grieving, insecure or uncertain. Organised religion also provides an outlet for charitable works, although secular charities are taking on more and more of this role. So, while it can be said that religion can fill a need in society, there are alternatives so that society does not need religion.

I think there is nothing like different types of culture. A mans life style is his culture. A group of learned men form a society and adopts a life style which will become their culture. Culture of any such groups, religion or nation will get influenced/ overpowered by other groups, religion or nation, when they intermix either in the society or through media, culture of ones can change unlimited times. hence the 'types of culture' is ruled out.
