The Chromosphere's layer is just about the temperature layer of the Sun. It is visible as a flash of color at the beginning and end of full solar eclipses. The temperature increases with height going up to around 20000 Kelvin at the top. The sun is actually white in color. The false color of orange is because of blue lighted atmospheric scattering.
The photosphere, although it would be more accurate to say the outer layers of the Sun TRANSMIT light. Light, as energy from matter conversion, is MADE in the fusion core and works its way tediously through the conduction and convection zones to the radiation layer, where it leaves for Earth and other points. It may take hundreds to thousands of years to travel from core to photosphere and then it gets all the way to Earth in 499 seconds.
Comments: That's a pretty good answer, but as I understand it,
electromagnetic radiations are actually produced at different levels within the Sun.
The photons produced in the core are gamma rays. Much of the visible light energy is indeed produced in the photosphere.
Also, I usually say that light reaches Earth in about 500 seconds.
Earth's orbit is not an exact circle of course and the distance to the Sun varies.
The layer of the sun's atmosphere that produces it's characteristic color is called the chromosphere. This is the middle layer of the sun.
the photosphere gives off the suns visible light
The layer in the sun's atmosphere that gives off visible light is known as the Photosphere.
All the layers make light however we only see light from the Photosphere.
The layer of the sun's atmosphere that makes light is called the photosphere. Photo means light and the photosphere is located in the inner layer of the sun's atmosphere.
The visible layer of the sun from Earth is the photosphere. But I do believe all layers give off visible light, some more than others.
the light producing layer of the sun is the photosphere which has a temperature of about 6000 kelvin
A layer in atmosphere is at risk. The layer is ozone layer.
The ozone layer is in the stratosphere. It is one of the layer of atmosphere.
Ozone is concentrated in the ozone layer of the atmosphere. the layer of atmosphere is stratosphere.
The UV rays must pass through atmosphere. So the layer must be in Atmosphere. The layer of the atmosphere is he ozone layer.
The mesosphere is the third layer of the atmosphere.
Bromine
That would be the visible part of the Sun: the photosphere.

The layers of the sun's atmosphere are the photosphere, (Greek for Light) the chromosphere, (Greek for color), and the Corona (Greek for Crown). The photosphere is the inner layer of the sun's atmosphere. It creates light. The chromosphere is the middle layer. It has a reddish glow. The corona is the outer layer. It is only visible during an eclipse. The Sun has three layer the Photosphere, chromosphere, and the corona Photosphere is the inner layer of the sun atmosphere The chromosphere is the middle layer of the sun and the Corona is the outer layer of the sun

MESOSPHERE is the coldest layer of the atmosphere.
The hottest layer of the atmosphere is the thermosphere.
troposphere is the lowest layer of atmosphere.
