Brazil doesn't really have a specific "traditional" kind of clothing. Any "traditional" clothing would be VERY specific to region. The closest thing we would have that applies for the whole country would be the clothing worn for Festa Junina (literally, "Party that takes place in June", or "June Party").

Girls wear bright older-style dresses (though any simple style dresses will do, especially with a floral pattern), usually with colourful patches here and there. Their hair is usually either in double braids or pigtails (neither of which are typically worn in an everyday setting). Some people decorate the pigtails or braids with colourful ribbons. if they wear a hat, it is usually simple and made of straw.

Makeup -wise, girls put excessive blush on their cheeks and use black eyeliner to draw three or four dots on each cheek. Their shoes are simple, and usually accompanied by white shin-high socks.

Both female and male enthusiasts for the holiday often also blacken a few of their teeth. They may also use the eyeliner to draw a fake unibrow on themselves.

Boys usually dress in checkered button-up shirts, possibly suspenders, and also have colourful patches on their shirts and/or pants. If they are wearing a hat, it is usually simple and made of straw, or sometimes cowboy hats.

Little boys often get fake mustaches drawn on with eyeliner.

I'm Brazilian, there isn't really a national dress, unless of course you search up Carnival then you'll get many variety of clothes. Other than that everyone wears normal daily clothes.

Sorry to say... Brazil HAS a national dress, it is the BAHIANA. Also it is important to say That Brazil is a very big country with different regions and each of those regions havetheir on clothes and their own folclore, legends, tales and accents.Ex:cangaceiro at the northeast, the gaucho at the south and many others. The carnival is the biggest cultural festival in the country, happening everywhere and using all the folclore references to create the costumes and the music. Again, each region has it's own version of it and it's own music.Ex: Rio de Janeiro has the SAMBA , Bahia has more afro influence like the AXE and Pernambuco has the FREVO.By the way, I am also Brazilian and I advise you to read a few books on Brazilian culture and Brazilian anthropology before giving wrong information.
