These are British Sovereign and Half-Sovereign gold coins minted in Australia. Half-Sovereign 1911 Sydney Mint - 252,000 minted - uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $200 AUD. If it is circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from bullion value to bullion value to $140 AUD. A proof coin might fetch up to $90,000 AUD. 1911 Perth Mint - 130,000 minted - uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $500 AUD. If it is circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from bullion value to bullion value to $275 AUD. Both coins are identical, except for size, apart from the Mint Marks (Sydney "S" and Perth "P") on the reverse side above the centre of the date. The Obverse side has King George V, the Reverse side has a horse-mounted, sword wielding St.George slaying a dragon. Composition is 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper (22 Carat 916.6 Fine) 3.994g. Pure Gold Content 0.1177 oz. Diameter is 19mm. Sovereign (the same as the Half-Sovereign, but slightly bigger) 1911 Sydney Mint - 2,519,000 minted - uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $275 AUD. If it is circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from $210 to $230 AUD. 1911 Melbourne Mint - 2,851,000 minted - uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $275 AUD. If it is circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from bullion value to bullion value plus a few percent. A proof coin might fetch up to $90,000 AUD. 1911 Perth Mint - 4,373,000 minted - uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $280 AUD. If it is circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from bullion value to bullion value plus a few percent. The three coins are identical apart from the Mint Marks (Sydney "S", Melbourne "M" and Perth "P") on the reverse side above the centre of the date. The Obverse side has King George V, the Reverse side has a horse-mounted, sword wielding St.George slaying a dragon. Composition is 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper (22 Carat 916.6 Fine) 7.9881g. Pure Gold Content 0.2354 oz. Diameter is 21.5mm. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.
