A British 1914 bronze Penny (George V), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £50 GBP. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from £3 to £15 GBP.

The values quoted are the best possible for the best specimens in their grades, but may be significantly lower due to varying demand for the coin and the prevailing economic climate. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.

hello, to my knowledge it is only worth about 5 dollars in mint condition. however if it has a D mint mark 1914D IT IS WORTH QUITE A BIT DEPENDING ON CONDITION. In heavily worn condition, it's worth about 25 cents. In lightly worn condition, it's worth about $10 A nice uncirculated one is worth about $50 If it has a "D" mintmark below the date, then it's worth about $100 heavily worn, $500 lightly worn, and $1,500 to $3,000 uncirculated.

Several counties made coins called "pennies", either formally or informally. Please look for more-specific questions such as:

  • "What is the value of a 1914 US cent?"
  • "What is the value of a 1914 British penny?"
  • "What is the value of a 1914 Australian Penny?"
etc.

Why get rid of the penny?

There has been talk of eliminating the US penny for many years. Before they switched from the bronze alloy penny to the copper clad zinc penny it cost about 3 cents to mint every penny. Even the copper clad zinc penny costs more than a penny to mint. Of all standard issue US coinage only the nickel (5¢) and the penny cost more than their face value to mint.
