Look at the 7 in the date. If its tip is pointed, the coin would sell for 20 to 50 cents in average condition. If the tip is blunt, its value would be about double those numbers.

Between face value and $2.50, depending on condition and type. If the nine on the date is stamped twice or hangs down lower than the other numbers, your penny may be worth up to $2.50. If not, your coin is worth at most 15 cents.

I actually found lying on the street, and once i got home i got on the computer and did some research and found out it was worth about $10. depending on what condition it is in.
Please check your coin again. Canadian cents carried a maple leaf. Wheat-back cents were American coins issued from 1909 to 1958.
1927 is not a rare date .. in average condition, it's worth about a dollar
In circulated condition, the 1927, 1930, and 1931 may be worth a dollar or two, but the rest have little or no added value.
