Please check your bill again. "D" is the highest series letter for 1934-dated $5 bills, and there are no black-seal bills.

The series letter (if any) is next to the date and the seal color is determined by the Treasury Department seal under the large word FIVE. My guess is that you're looking at a Federal Reserve Note distributed by the Dallas district which uses the indicator K.
