a penny.....go see a coin and jewelry store. they need to see the condition. and if it is not worth much now it could be later. Realistically, the only way a 1972 penny is ever going to be worth much is if it is one of the rare doubled die errors -- look for there to be two images where the date is. Otherwise, even your grandchildren will not live long enough for this coin to be worth enough to buy a candy bar.
how much is a 1972 one dollar coin with an eagel on the back of it?
About a nickel, unless it's uncirculated. In that case it's worth about $1.15
1 cent. Billions were minted. They still turn up in change regularly so there should not be any question as to their value.
Specifically 8,900,000,000
Only a high grade uncirculated coin will have more than face value so if it's dark just spend it.
No US 1976 Lincoln cent or any other year is made from silver.
