The 'Mini penny' is considered a novelty item, it is only worth what some idiot will pay for it... (and judging by an 8-track tape that sold on e-bay for $500 it may be a lot.)

If the coin is a Lincoln cent dated 1964 it may look like gold or have been gold plated but the US Mint has never made a gold one cent coin.
A 1920's Lincoln penny in good condition can be worth anywhere from 5 dollars to 30 dollars. This is a old penny.
