The Isle of Man produced 5 different Crown coins in 1982 and each one of those had at least 5 or 6 different variants including the usual cupro-nickel coins and various precious metal coins including silver, gold and platinum.

∙ 13y agoA commemorative coin such as this one only has a 'scrap' value. This is based on gopld content weight. I believe the coin weighs 43 grammes (there are 31.103 grammes in an ounce of gold. Note gold is measured in TROY ounces). The coin is probably 22 carat i.e. 22/24ths gold and 1/12th copper. As at 20th September 2010, gold is £26.20 a gramme. Therefore you would need to weigh the coin and multiply the weight in grammes by £26.20 then divide by 24 and multiply by 22 to get the exact value. As at 20.09.2010 its value would be around £1,032.71. This is based on a weight of 43 grammes.

Each of those had anything from 2 to 20 variants including coins made from cupro-nickel, silver, gold and platinum, with finishes such as Proof, Matte Proof, Proof-like and "uncirculated" of course.
The silver, gold and platinum coins would realise the current bullion value of those metals at least, plus some.
The value of any of these coins would also depend on the coins being in absolute mint condition and their original packaging.
