Est. 8600 production.$1950.00 WWII CollectiblesTry to find the latest edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values updated each year. Try your local library. Remember condition isn't everything its the only thing.

A "P38" and a "Lugar" are two different semi-auto 9mm pistols produced by Germany during the 1st half of the 20th century. The Lugar was standard issue in the Germany Army in WWI and the P38 was standard issue in WWII. Both used the same ammunition.

Addition:

The 9 x 19 mm cartridge fired by both the P38 and P08 (Luger) is popularly referred to as the 9mm Luger. The writer above is correct about the German military issue. However, the P38 is still manufactured by Walther, and is the current military sidearm of 9 countries. $500 to $700 us dollors less in Canada $400 to $600 these pistols were mainly bring backs from ww2.

Minimum 500 if it is a shooter with non-matching numbers. Could be much more...into the thousands. Original holsters 50-250. Again, depends on condition, how rare. Take to a reputable gun dealer for appraisel. Look at cabellas.com for retail values or auctionarms.com

Value of ANY firearm, but ESPECIALLY Lugers, will depend on EXACT condition and EXACT model. Values may start at $800 for the more common models in very good condition, and go up from there. This will really need a hands-on assesment by someone that knows Lugers.

On the top of the Luger just in front of the action before the barrel starts is a four digit number In this case 1918 is this the serial number?

No, the 1918 is the date of manufacture of that particular gun. The serial number has more digits, likely five or six. If yours is a "matching Luger" then that means that the gun still has all of the original parts. You can tell this by looking for a two digit number on almost all of the smaller parts (toggle, barrel, barrel extension, trigger, trigger plate, bolt, etc). This number should be the same on all the parts and is the last two digits of the main serial number that is on the frame somewhere. If it is a completely matching Luger, then the magazine number will also match. Most of them don't, however. Most military lugers have between 2 and 4 numbers for the serial. some commercial lugers have up to five number serial.

What is a line that divides a figure into two matching parts parts?

What is the value of P38 pistol year 1943 model ac43?

Depends on condition & whether all major parts have the same serial number stamped on it & when in 1943 it was produced. A poor example with non matching serial numbers can go for 300.00 or so. A pristine example with 98-100 % finish, matching serial numbers etc can go for 800.00 or more. A WW2 P38 holster can add 100-200 to the price.
