It's probably a Model 12-A, by that serial no it was made in 1927 and will have the barrel codes stamped to determine month as well. However the value of a model 12 is GREATLY dependent on condition with the 95%+ condition examples comprising of the top 2/3 of the 200-1,200 (as NIB).
I have a octagonal barrel .32 caliber Remington Patent date May 3, 1864 - What would it be worth?
Depends a lot on what type of rifle, patent alone doesn't cut it.
Look for the letters stamped in the barrel near the frame 9on the left side. Go to the Remington history site to see the month and year they pertain to. DXH
.222 Remington model
.22 WRF or .22 Remington Special
There is no "Remington USA 1906" rifle although there is the Remington Model 8, which was introduced in 1906. This is a semi automatic rifle that was chambered for one of four possible calibers; .25 Remington, .30 Remington, .32 Remington, or .35 Remington. The caliber that your rifle is chambered for should be stamped on the side of the barrel, just forward of the receiver.
I received a similar rifle from my grandfather. He had a letter from Remington stating the rifle was manufactured between 1900 - 1907, if I remember correctly.
The Remington model 4 rolling block rifle was made between 1890-1933.If you have a model 4S military rifle, then these were made by Remington from 1913-1923.your rifle has either a 22.5in barrel,or a 24in barrel. These were chambered in .22,.25 Stevens,or 32 caliber.
