If by "good" you are referring to the numismatic grade of "G" - actually very worn! - your coin is worth maybe a dollar, retail.

If you're using the word to mean that it doesn't have a lot of wear, that might translate to a numismatic grade of F (fine) or VF (very fine). In that case your coin might retail for $4 to $6.

Note that the inscription is a heavily abbreviated Latin motto that appears in various forms on ALL coins of the British Empire/Commonwealth, and doesn't help to ID a specific coin.

Sixpences are not made from gold, otherwise, everybody would be a millionaire. ---- You are probably referring to a gold half sovereign, which is about the same size as a sixpence and has the same obverse (the reverse, however, a depiction of St. George slaying the dragon). It weighs 3.9940 grams and is 91.7% pure, meaning that it contains 0.1177 troy oz. of gold. It was minted in both Great Britain and Australia, and the two are almost identical in appearance. The Australian coin was produced at the Sydney mint, and apparently has an S mintmark on it somewhere. The British coin (KM# 804) had a mintage of 4,244,000 and is, according to the Standard Catalog of World Coins, worth US$110 in Extremely Fine condition and US$130 in Uncirculated condition, or about a 15% or 20% premium over the buliion value. About 15,000 Proof examples were minted as well, and they are valued at US$225 each. The Australian coin (KM# 14) had a mintage of 84,000 and is, according to the Standard Catalog of World Coins, worth US$115 in Very Fine condition, US$125 in Extremely Fine condition, US$550 in Uncirculated condition and US$750 in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Proof and Frosted Proof examples were produced in very limited quantities, and are valued at US$50,000.

What is the value of an 1817 British coin that says Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense?

If it says "honi soit qui mal y pense" it is a British coin. If it is an 1887 coin, it will be a sterling silver Halfcrown, Shilling or Sixpence with the words in a garter surrounding a Crowned shield. The obverse will depict the Jubilee bust of Queen Victoria wearing a crown. The Halfcrown will be 32 mm in diameter. The Shilling will be 23.5 mm in diameter. The Sixpence will be 19 mm in diameter. There were no Victorian gold coins issued with that inscription. The only gold coins within 100 years of 1887 to have that inscription would have been George III Guineas, Half-Guineas and the earliest issue of Sovereigns from 1817 to 1820.

What is the value of a 1957 silver British sixpence?

Please don't assume that because a coin is older it must be made of silver. Britain eliminated silver in most of its coins long before 1957; yours is made of copper-nickel like modern US coins. Please see the Related Question for more information.
