Anywhere from $1 to $60,000. Check out eBay for all the varieties available.

More Specifically1888 is not considered a rare date for Indian Head cents.

In well worn condition, it's worth about a dollar. If the LIBERTY in the headband is complete, it's worth about $4.00. A nice uncirculated one is worth about $30.00

More:There were two varieties of the 1888 Indian Head Cent. This coin was only minted in Philadelphia so the value greatly depends on what variety the coin is and what condition this coin is in. According to USA Coin Book, these are the values:

Normal Variety: In good condition, this coin is worth about $2.75 up to about $60 in MS60 mint condition. A coin in MS63 choice uncirculated grade is worth about $120. Proof coins were also minted in Philadelphia and these are worth about $310.

8 Over 7 Variety: This is a rare and valuable variety. Basically in 1888, the mint used old 1887 Indian Head Pennies and struck over them with the 1888 dies. Hence, you can see an "8" on top of a "7" in the date. In good condition, this coin is worth about $1,020 up to about $20,500 in MS60 mint condition. A coin in MS63 choice uncirculated grade is worth about $26,500. This coin is worth a tremendous amount of money in better conditions.

If you mean an American large cent, it's worth about $65 if very worn, up to around $300 if only some wear is visible.

If you mean an 1808 British penny, only one genuine coin was struck. All others are counterfeit.

A British 1882 bronze Penny (QV)(Victoria with hooked nose - thinner Britannia and thinner lighthouse, sea meets linear edge), circulated but still in good condition, might fetch up to £750 to £2,500 GBP.

A British 1882 bronze Penny (QV)(Victoria with hooked nose - thicker Britannia and larger lighthouse, sea does not meet linear edge) (minted at Heaton), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £525 GBP. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch up to £10 to £100 GBP.

There are a great many fine points of distinction between the variants of the 1882 Penny.

There are a number of minor differences to the two versions of this coin, the most discernible is to do with the number of feathers on the plume of Britannia's helmet. Both are valued the same.

A British 1880 bronze Penny (QV), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £425 GBP. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from £3 to £110 GBP.

With the possible exception of traders tokens (with the traders business name on them), there were no "Australian" pennies minted prior to 1911.

In order to give an estimated value of a coin the date must be known as well as the mintmark, if any, and the denomination of the coin.
