St. George has some great scenery, I'd definitely suggest hiking or Mountain Biking. There are several hikes of different skill levels in Snow Canyon State Park. The Zion National Park is just a short drive north. You could go to a play or concert at Tuacahn Amphitheatre (www.tuacahn.org). There are several great Golf courses and lots of shopping as well. There are several great historic sites, including the St. George Temple and visitor center, the St. George Tabernacle, Brigham Young's winter home, the Opera House, Jacob Hamblin's home, etc. During the summer months there is also a live historic tour of downtown.
