Weathering is the breaking down of rocks in situ. This includes disintegration and solution of minerals (i.e. chemical), breaking down of rock by animals and plants (biological), and then there is the obvious physical weathering, including freeze-thaw and exfoliation.

Erosion is the process by which rock is broken down and carried away by wind, rivers, oceans and glaciers primarily (though also including other minor and specific types).

The definition for weathering is the process that breaks down the rocks.

The definition for erosion is the process of moving the works by soil, wind, ice and other elements.

The definition for deposition is the dropping of the object (rock) after erosion (moving the rock).

What happens when weathering erosion and deposition work together to change the earth's surface?

== == First off deposition is the last step out of Erosion, Weathering and itself. Chemical weathering causes the erosional effects of glaciers which also incude deposition. An example is that soil in the nothern parts of the United States are deposited of material once carried by a glacier, which pretty much starts the whole process over again. Beginning with Chemical Weathering and ending with Deposition.
