Whaling is the practice of hunting cetaceans, including whales and dolphins, for their products such as meat, fats, bone, and horns (Narwhals only). It has come under fire in recent years for being allegedly inhumane and illegal in many countries.

The hunting of whales, or more simply whaling. It is done by moving a boat close to a whale and shoving or firing a long spear called a harpoon into the vital organs of their bodies. Whales it appears are not smart enough to run away.

Whale poaching is when people illegally hunt whales because they have certain value. Many people from Norway and Japan consider whale to be part of their food culture and want whaling to be legalized again after becoming illegal roughly 10 years ago.
