There are a lot of forerunners to the Jedi Order, and there is no clear first Jedi. The definition of Jedi has changed over thousands of years, too. But Kaja Sinis is regarded as the first. one one really knows, because you might think it was yoda, but its not. He always says that the jedi have been a…round for THOUSANDS of years, and he died when he was 912. (MORE)
If you mean, depleted all of them, the Empire did. However there were a couple left, they were just hiding.
"Jedi" is a concept from the fictional Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. The Jedi (pronounced jedd-eye) are an order of quasi-religious warrior/philosophers modeled loosely on Buddhist monks and the Samurai. The Jedi have the gift of "Force sensitivity." The Force, in this fictional univer…se is an "energy field that connects all living things, it surrounds us, it penetrates us, it binds the galaxy together" (to paraphrase one Jedi named Obi-Wan Kenobi). The dark side of the Force is a form of evil, practiced primarily by fallen Jedi called the "Sith." The singular is "Jedi" and the plural is "Jedi." The word "Jedi" was borrowed by George Lucas from a Japanese word that refers to historical films/period piece films in Japan set usually during the Samurai era. (MORE)
Luke Skywalker because he created the new jedi order and started he and he can move planets. Look, yes Luke is strong but if Anakin ever reached his potential he would have been more powerful than Yoda and Sidious combined. When he was Vader he only had maybe 1/2 of his full potential. He would ha…ve been twice as powerful as the empror if he did not sustain the injuries. He has the highest amount of midi-chlorian in jedi history. If he was not so cockey when fighting Obi-Wan he would have reached his full potential as a Sith and would have been the strongest being in the galaxy. People also think Luke is stronger because he beat him as Vader, but Vader never wanted to kill Luke. He tried making him join the dark side even when they were fighting each other. Luke has less midi-chlorians because Padme eas not able to use the force. If she could and was a jedi, than Luke would be stronger than Anakin. Anakin was the chosen one. He brought balance to the force like he was supposed to and reached his full potential when he became a force ghost and he became that ghost without training by Qui-Gon like Yoda and Obi-Wan were. If he was born in the republic instead of being a slave. Than he would have went on to become the greatest Jedi through there and never would have turned to the dark side. But, his loyalty was to 2 woman before his best friend and the order. And that was his mother and Padme. Here is the list in my mind and from using my brain to study all aspects of it. 1. Anakin Skywalker 2. Luke Skywalker 3. Yoda 4. Obi-Wan Kenobi 5. Mace Windu 6. Qui-Gon Jinn 7. Revan 8. Exile 9. Ki-Adi-Mundi 10. Plo Koon Strongest Sith 1. Sidious 2. Plagueis 3. Revan 4. Bane 5. Vader 6. Traya (Kreia) The real strongest jedi and sith is the apprentice because he could beat Vader and the emperor at the same time he could beat anakin, luke all of the jedi and sith he could conquer a planet by himself in 5 days depends on what the size of the planet i don't really know if he could move planets but i know that he almost kill luke sktwalker in star wars the force unleashed 2 (MORE)

You can't kill a Jedi. Jedi use the Force, a lightsaber, and knowledge. If you are a normal human, you would fail unless you use a sonic weapon, or a flame thrower. If you are a Force sensitive human, you may be able to get some Force in the fight, but the Jedi would still win hands down. Even a y…oungling could beat you. If you are/were a Jedi or Sith, you stand a good chance. If you are a Sith you stand a better chance. If you are a Sith Lord going against a Jedi padawan, or knight, you are most likely going to win (I'm sorry to say). And if you are fighting a Jedi master.... Have fun. It would most likely be equal. So, Jedi are hard to kill (thank you very much). Do not go around picking a fight with one. (MORE)
Yes they do. No they don,t they use the lightside so no they don,t rock the sith are the ones who rock.
Jedi Symbol is a winged lit lightsabre in a circle - images can be seen on tatooinetradingpost.co.uk
Jedi are not real. They are the invention of George Lucas and theirabilities have no basis in reality.
A jedi is a person (male, female, alien, human, etc) who is a very special person in star wars. He/she is born with The Force. It is a spiritual thing and it gives power to the jedi. There are 3 types of jedi ranks, padawan, knight, and master. The major masters meet at the jedi council, in Corusan…t. All the jedi hang out there(except in Naboo, Jedi are used as the Royal Guard). Some jedis are Master Luke Skywalker, Master Obi Wan Kenobi, Master Mace Windu, Master Yoda, and Master Aakayla Secura. There are also three type of jedi 1. Jedi sentinel. Jedi sentinel bring a balance between using the force and using a lightsaber (a weightless beam that a jedi uses for combat) 2. Jedi guardian. Jedi guardians are people who focuse more on using a lightsaber for combat than using the force. 3. Jedi consular. Jedi consulars focuse more on using the force in combat than a lightsaber. What about Qui-Gon Jinn, he's the best Jedi Master besides Yoda! :) (MORE)
There are countless Jedi. But some most famous ones are Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano, Mace Windu, Luke Skywalker, Plo Koon, Galen Marek a.k.a "Starkiller," Kit Fisto, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti and Even Piell
Well much later in the story line Luke Skywalker whos whole purpose was to bring balance to the force through his fathers prophecy joins the darkside. Which leads me to the most powerful Jedi Anakin Solo. The child of Han Solo and princess Leia.
use the force You're probably not a Jedi, but there are many people who have registered their religions as Jedi, and there's nothing wrong with following the basic principles of being a Jedi. You may find that using the force is beyond your power, but never give up... If you want to know how m…any wikianswers users think they are Jedis, then look below. If you are looking at this answer, add your Jedi status to the list: . Elilie is NOT a Jedi, as far as she knows. . Joe MIGHT BE a Jedi. He doesn't think so though. . Rebecca is a jedi . Sam is almost a Jedi. He is still developing his skills with the force. (MORE)
The worst Jedi.... I would say the worst Jedi is a padawan without a master. I cannot place any names though. The reason the worst Jedi is a padawan without a master is because even with a master a padawan can be easily influenced. Without a master, they would have to fend, teach, and look out for t…hemselves. At first a young padawan is recklace and almost willing to do anything. If this is left alone, the padawan will grow around this. Even if they teach themselves properly and correctly, the Sith would be targeting them. So, it would be very unwise to be a padawan without a master. With this, they would grow and be the worst Jedi. That is why Jedi are careful for these kinds of people. But to my knowledge, there is no record or names. (MORE)
\nLuke Skywalker was #1. It only took him about 5 years to become a Jedi Master!
No, Jedi cannot fly like birds, they can only get into vehicles and fly that way.
\nIt depended on the time. Sometimes there were only 1 and others there were nearly a million.
There are several Jedi Codes as the term simply refers to a set ofteachings such as The Crystal Code and so on. The most commonlesson referred to by the term Jedi Code is the Jedi Mantra, or Wayof the Jedi. There are even different versions of the mantra depending on whatpart of Jedi history you ar…e exploring. The earliest known form of the mantra is: Emotion, yet peace. Ignorance, yet knowledge. Passion, yet serenity. Chaos, yet harmony. Death, yet the force. The mantra predates most established Jedi history but is said to bethe basis for it's formation. The refined version was established by Odan-Urr and transcribed byHomonix Rectonia during the Early Manderon Period, this versioncarried on for thousands of years up through the time period of theOld Republic: There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the force. The fourth line "There is no chaos, there is harmony", is removedfrom some Jedi texts and teachings. (For example the book quotedduring the funeral of Mara Jade Skywalker omits the 4th line). Bythe time of the clone wars, this version of the Jedi code isconsidered mostly ceremonial. An alternate version of the Jedi Code was later establishedsometime before the clone wars and is more commonly found in textsfrom that period right before the fall of the Jedi to the clonesand is what is taught in Jedi schools of that time: Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy. Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attackothers. Jedi respect all life, in any form. Jedi serve others, rather than rule over them, for the good of thegalaxy. Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training. Grand Master Luke Skywalker would later revise this code when heestablishes the new Jedi Order, Skywalkers version is: Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy. Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect. Jedi respect all life, in any form. Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of thegalaxy. Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training. Luke continues to use the Old republic version (minus the 4th line)in ceremonial proceedings (such as his wife's funeral) but uses therevised code as the basis for teaching students. In counterpoint the Sith code is also based loosely on the ideasfrom the Jedi's original mantra; it's most widely known form wasalso revised around the same time the as the early Jedi's andremains through the time of the Old Republic: Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken. The force shall free me. There are no known further revisions to the Sith Code and themantra is not spoken of during the clone wars era (or after). An example of one of the other Jedi Codes is The Crystal Code: The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the Force. The Force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined. The crystal, the blade, the Jedi. We are one. The crystal code was originally chanted by the teacher whilewatching a student make their first lightsaber. Later when itbecame tradition for a student to assemble the blade in private itbecame more common for the student to recite it themselves duringcreation. Many other codes are believed to exist as well as other versions ofthe primary mantra but they are only referenced by name withoutbeing quoted in full. As the Jedi order has fallen, reformed orsimply been revised many times over many thousands of years it isunknown just how many could potentially exist, just as the rulesand laws they follow have also evolved over many millenia. You can become one by being kind, loving, generous, and peacemaking. Those are the real traits of a jedi. You must be trained by a jedi master and you must go successfully complete the jedi trials. Years of dedication is required. -Oh, and you're not allowed to love.
Quite a few Jedi survived Order 66, but were later killed by Vader. We already know Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Quinlan Vos lived. Wookieepedia can tell you the rest.
In the movie "A New Hope" (IV) Han tells Luke:. "Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls m…y destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.". Therefore, Han couldn't have become a jedi. He didn't belive in The Force. (MORE)

a Sith. You're either thinking of a Sith or a Dark Jedi. And there is a difference; if you wish to find out feel free to post the question.
Your seriously asking this...aren't you? . Ok. Its between Facepalm Avenue and Epic Fail Drive in Sydney Australia.
Not in the cannon. The person below believes that the evidence of the movies shows them to be evil. Whether this is the case or not I don't want to argue. I believe your question refers to the intent of the creators rather than the good vs. evil of the individuals portrayed in the movies. The Jedi a…re meant to be a force for "Good" rather than evil. They are meant to be the light to the Sith's dark. . yes, jedi and sith alike are both evil, although in the saga they are made out to be against evil, they harbour great distaste for many beings, they have caused devastation on many worlds, along with sending thousands of soldiers to fight their battles and die, this evidence suggests they are evil, although they are campaigning for justice and freedom, they are inflicting more damage than they are worth. Well...I don,t know, but I do know Jedi Yoda, Kit Fisto, Obi-Wan(Ben) Kenobi, Mace Windu, General Grevious, Count Dooku, Ashoka, Qui-Gon Jinn, and well, I can,t say all the rest, but I,m sure you,ll find out
In the Star Wars galaxy, you have to have a high number of microscopic-size life-forms called "midi-chlorians" and these little creatures make it possible for a Jedi to have a connection to the power of the Force. There have been some Jedi that have lost their power
They don't have different names for male and female Jedi... they're all just Jedi in general.
You can't be a Jedi as in use the Force, but you can behave like one, by being kind, generous, caring, protective, and peacemaking.
You take the first 3 letters of your last name then the first 2 letters of your first name to get your first name, then you take the first 3 letters of your mother's maiden name and the first 3 letters of the city where you where born to get your last name. I'm Foriz Reepan!
In the Clone Wars era, Jedi were not allowed to marry, with the exception of Ki Adi Mundi who had to take on several wives in order to keep the population of his planet at a neutral level. In the New Republic era, the rules were changed and Jedi were able to get married. One example of two Jedi gett…ing married is Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade. (MORE)
There is a likely association with the warrior titles "jed" and "jeddak" (meaning "lord" and "emperor", respectively) found in the Barsoom books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, a series which Lucas considered adapting to film before his work on Star Wars . The word "Padawan" may even be a counterfeit of "…padwar", a low-ranking officer in these science fiction books. The term "Padawan" is also quite similar to an Urdu word "palawan" that means "hero." It is also possible that the name refers to the Japanese term "Jidai" from "jidaigeki", which means a period drama (the literal translation is "history-thing".) Usually, these are samurai films, and the Jedi resemble samurai. from wookieepedia, article: "Jedi" (MORE)
The Wookies. The Jedi have had numerous allies throughout their existence, there are far to many to list.
There is no "Jedi Warrior," exactly. The closest class of Jedi I could find for you is a Force Warrior, a Jedi specially trained to fight using only the Force, and not lightsabers.
He was carried through a rift between the universe in which Star Wars takes place, then carried back after his training was complete.
No Jedi is great. They're all weak. The weakest Jedi are Anakin Skywalker, Darth Revan (unknown Jedi name), Obiwan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Mace Windu. Quinlan Voss was the only "great" Jedi. He would have made a great Sith if Mace Windu hadn't tricked him.
Jedi holocrons are used only by Jedi and were primarily used for storing phenomenal quantities of data. Quinlan Vos referred them as "meant to be teaching devices" in the graphic novel " Clone Wars: Volume 8: The Last Siege, The Final Truth "
ther are so meney jedis with starfighers ther is anakin skywalker obe wan kinobekit fisto and plo koon
Date Posted: 8/7/10 1:02pm Subject: Jedi....kidnapping.....Imperial Commando question. Maybe we're approaching this reconciliation exercise from the wrong angle. If we consider the Jedi grabbing kids to be urban myths then you've a plausible reason for why it's a widespread belief despite being …based on very little in the way of fact, myths are not required to be true after all. I wouldn't put it by a Sith to do a few of the cases too, as most see lightsaber and think Jedi! -----signature----- . Excellence: "You are the forum's Quick Ben." All our hopes and expectations Black holes and revelations . they bullied people in school because they were clever, now they've made a religion that threatens to make all people clever enough to learn how to hypnotise people into slaves. USA who wrote the jedi path abolished slavery in 1865, but there's still some americans trying to revive it. The basis for the religion is to rid the earth of clever people so dumb people can be free without the control modern society has over them. they are not frightening anybody. modern society has ways & means to deal with criminals. The fact that they are using children to popularise slavery is surprising even for americans. Anything actually in the world nowadays that they call powers are normal abilities. (MORE)
If you meant to ask how old a Jedi has to be in order to have the rank of a Knight, well there never was a solid answer since every Knight was granted that rank at a different age. But the expectancy was in the early 20's
Any Jedi could have kids but that depended on what era they lived, The earliest Jedi wrought about that i know of was Nomi Sunrider and she had a daughter with another Jedi and the new Jedi order put together by Luke skywalker were aloud to have kids, Luke had a son Ben skywalker. i think all the or…ders in between were not aloud to have personal relationships there for not aloud to have kids, Yoda's order was forbidden and anakin got married and had kids anyways (MORE)
To tell you the truth, anyone could kill a Jedi. Jedi aren't invincible warriors that can only be killed by the most strongest and impervious warriors. A Jedi could be killed by pirates if ambushed, killed by Sith, or even killed by a mugger, given that the mugger was of a species whose minds couldn…'t be read by Jedi, and that the Jedi didn't notice him because he was distracted by perhaps an accomplice. There is actually a very broad spectrum of things, animate and inanimate that could take the life of a Jedi. (MORE)

Yes Jedi's are human because, in the movie Obiwon had said to Luke that Anakin is more machine than human.
Most of them did. Some of them were nomadic, traveling around thegalaxy and fighting evil whenever they came across it. Someyounglings were trained during missions like this, but mosttraining was primarily at the Jedi Temple
