There are basically 2 kinds of fish that are farmed. There are the ones for eating like Trout, catfish, Salmon, Barramundi, Bassa and Tillapia etc., and there are the keeping (hobby) ones like Goldfish, Guppies, Swordtails, Danios etc.. Even the very hard fish to keep like Discus are now grown and bred on fish farms in Indonesia and Malasia.
