It sounds like a bacterial rash. You could've picked it up from anywhere but it just spreads.
Firstly go to the pharmacy and get an anti-bacterial wash. It needs to be anti-bacterial, not anti-septic. You usually can get one for acne - this works well. Wash with this. The rash spreads from contact - so don't run the soap or cloth you wash with over this area as it can spread it to another part of your body. It will also spread from razor use - so if you must shave, use one razor for the infected area, and another razor for the other areas.
It will take ages to clear up. The sores should stop being pus-filled after about a week or two, but the sores will be scabby and then cause dark colouring for a while. Keep at it!
Especially men can have something such as this because of their jeans rubbing on their legs (ingrown hairs and a rash). It could be the detergent you are using as well. Women could be using something on their legs to remove hair and it's irritating or, they could also get a rash from jeans or the detergent they may be using. Rashes are even difficult for doctor's to diagnose at times, but to put your mind at rest see your doctor.
It seems as if you are experiencing some type of allergic reaction to something. It would be best to visit your doctor for a full diagnosis.
