What make a second generation ipod touch different from the third generation ipod touch?

2nd Gen has 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB
3rd Gen has 8GB(But is the same as the 2nd), 32 GB, 64 GB
3rd Gen 32 GB and 64 GB are faster, have a mic, and that's all I think.
