Education and Teaching Not necessarily, however, the majority of public school systems require a lead teacher to have at least a bachelor's degree in some field of education. Education can play an important part in every aspect of a person's life; but obtaining an advanced level of education and being able to apply the knowledge one has acquired are two different issues. *Not only that, but much more than education is required for a teacher to be good. It is important for teachers in middle school and high school to have education in their content areas, and education in methods of teaching helps elementary level teachers, too. Texbooks are so well thought out and written that almost anyone could read and present the content and activities to children in elementary school, whether educated beyond high school or not. However, teaching at any level is much more than just presenting content. Teaching is leading, guiding, being aware of individual needs and the strenths and weakness of each child, having compassion, controlling one's mouth so that no child is put down or ridiculed or embarrassed by something the teacher says (though I realize it does happen at times by even the best teachers), being able to manage a classroom so that learning can occur, having a structured disciplinary policy that is enforced equally and consistently, the ability to communicate on a constructive and equal level with parents, and much more. Thus, almost anyone can get the education to become a teacher, but only those who have a talent for teaching and a heart for their students are genuinely good teachers.

You should have a good degree
Good education, usually to degree level, in the chosen language(s), and a good level of competence in English, usually to degree level.
You should begin preparing for university. To become a secondary school teacher you will have to earn a B.A or B.Sc (bachelor of arts or, bachelor of sciences) and then attend a teacher's college, or your universities faculty of education to get your B.Ed (bachelor of education). These prescribed degree programs will prepare you and train you to be a teacher. While you're still in high school, continue to be studious, get good grades, and have a good attitude about education. Your university training will prepare you for your actual teaching career.
