Why friction melts ice faster?

Faster than what? It melts quite quickly at room temperature since it is many degrees hotter than 0C, and can also melt 'faster' than other materials because is is made of many small molecules held together by intermolecular bonds which are weaker than say covelant bonds

Adding salt to water, or in this case, ice, lowers the freezing point. The normal freezing point for pure water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit, but, for example, a 10 percent salt solution drops the freezing point down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Simply because of how fast substances change state. It is logical to think that slowing particles that end up changing to solid would take a longer time to change state than heating particles which are accelerating and creating more heat and energy.

It is just the same as a meal heating in a shorter time than it cools.
