There is no scripture in The Bible that speaks of a particular person called "THE ANTICHRIST."

Scripture speaks of a "SON OF PERDITION," of a "BEAST," and of a "FALSE PROPHET."

And it's upon these prophesied end time names that men have taken the liberty of associating their pet name: "THE Antichrist" - a totally unbiblical entity that the world has completely embraced, fallen for... and for whom it is actively searching.

This is actually completely correct... The Church systems associated the name Anti-Christ with Satan who plays the roll of the false prophet.

1) He is associated with the King of the North (Seleucid Empire as example) in Daniel 11

2) He is described as his own King (Dreadful Terrible) in Daniel 7 and associated with the old Roman Empire (one of the heads of the 7 headed beast identified in Revelation 13, 17)

3) He is described in Revelation 13 as appearing like the lamb (Christ-Revelation 5) but speaks like a dragon (Revelation 12)

1 John 2:18 says:

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists...." so 'antichrist' is real, but, as was mentioned, it's not one person.

1 John 2:22 where it says:'Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."(1 John 4:3)(2 John 7)

So, the antichrist includes all those, throughout the years, who deny that "Jesus is the Christ," and who deny that Jesus is the Son of God who came "in the flesh", including, among others, any who once knew the truth, but left (1 John 2:19)and any who take a stand against Jesus' role in God's purpose.
