What organelle digests molecules old organelles and foreign substances?
The lysosomes in a cell contain digestive enzyme that breaks down food, waste products, and pathogens. They can breakdown macromolecules like proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates. They also break down old organelles and unneeded cell parts. When a cell takes in bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens, lysosomes break them down.

Which organelle has enzymes are used to digest food other molecules and old worn out cell parts of the cell?
Type of organelle carries digestive enzymes capable of destroying such foreign material as bacteria?
This organelle is the lysosome.
i believe the organelle that is responsible for digesting damaged or worn-out organelles are lysosomes. Lysosomes contain digestive enzymes that help in recycling the ol…d unhelpful organelles.
Lysosomes contain hydrolytic digestion enzymes. Lysosomes are membrane- bounded vesicles produced by the Golgi apparatus. When lysosomes are fused with macromolecules brought …into the cell by vesicle formation at the plasma membrane, then the contents are digested by lysosome enzymes into simpler subunits that then enter the cytoplasm.
If you back up to cells, and their organelles, each animal cell or plant cell have Lysosomes. They are the "digestive" organelle. They break down particles of food, send…s proteins to the nucleus, or sends it to the "storage room" to store. I hope answered your question, but i'm not sure. Heheh. I'm in 7th grade.
