There are two ways. You can toast them in a dry skillet on the stove or on a cooking sheet in the oven. For the stove top use medium heat and in the oven use 350 F. In both cases spread the nuts in a single layer and stir them every few minutes. It takes about 5 - 7 minutes. When you can smell the nuts they are done.

Put them on a cookie sheet evenly spread and toast them in the oven to the consistency you would like.

Roasting brings out the flavor of the nuts, and develops their sweetness. It is safe to roast nuts if done at a low temperature-typically a 160-170 degree Fahrenheit oven (at higher temperatures than this, research shows damage to nuts' delicate fats) for 15-20 minutes will do the trick. To enhance the "roasted" flavor, try putting a little soy sauce or Bragg's Liquid Aminos into a spray bottle and misting the nuts before roasting.

Roasting nuts at a temperature higher than 170F will cause a breakdown of their fats and the production of free radicals.

Put them on a sheet pan in a 400F oven for about 10 minutes. You can also toast them on top of the stove in a dry skillet. Put them on medium heat and stir often. It still takes about 10 minutes. In both cases check them often since they burn quickly when they get hot.

You roast nuts by putting them in a pan and then you turn on the stove and roast them until lightly brown!!!!

Great Question!!

You can also roast them in the oven. Spread them out on a flat cooking sheet and roast them at 400F for about 10 minutes. In either method, watch them carefully and stir them every few minutes because they go from roasted to burned in a very short time.

many say 350 for 10 min (lightly brush with oil and season with salt to taste)

To enhance the "roasted" flavor, try putting a little soy sauce or Bragg's Liquid Aminos into a spray bottle and misting the nuts before roasting. (Cover the tray with foil if you're using any liquids on the nuts.)

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Place your almonds on a cookie sheet and place in the oven. When your almonds are looking nice and brown take them out and shake them around to kind of turn them over and place them back in the oven and bake for a few more minutes.
