tetanus also called ''lockjaw'' is a nasty disease it is caused from a bacteria called Clostridium tetani -funny name -its hard to pronounce too- (cul-stur-id-um tet-an-ni). It effects every part of the body and has most effect on the jaw hence the nick name ''lockjaw''. People AND horses can get tetanus. Tetanus CAN be prevented. Tetanus shots are available to the public, for around $40 in the US and about $5-$10 in Canada. outside North America i am not 100% sure. But in Canada tetanus shots are FREE to people with a mental injury or people 5 months or younger. but remember the bacteria that tetanus is caused from is Clostridium tetani !!!!!!!!!!!!! ★

The part of the body tetanus usually infects, is where the disease/infection gets in your skin. If you have a cut or scratch on you leg and you put it on a nail, tetanus will go into the cut. Therefore, tetanus is infecting that area which it came into your body
