What percentage of movies are made from books?
I don't know an exact percentage, but I do know that in 2006, over 50 movies that were released were made from books, and that this number increased over the last four years.

It has been rumoured that they will ALL be made into movies as Twilight ( the 1st book in the series) is done and on DVD.. They have already casted the actors for the second movie in the twilight series, New Moon. It will be out on 11/20/09.. They will mostly likely make all of the books into movi…es.. Yes. The rights were sold to Lionsgate the day the book was released. They script writer is Suzane Colins. I'm not sure who the director is but I know that they've already chosen one. Its coming out on march 2012. Cant wait

The movie "Troy" wasn't based on a book called Troy. It was based on The Iliad by Homer. The Iliad tells only a small portion of the 10 year Trojan War--about 9 weeks, I believe. The move "Troy" is a condensed version of The Iliad.

There have only been two films made on the novels of Clive Cussler. Novel Raise the Titanic! (released in 1976) was a film release of the same title in 1980, starring Alec Guinness. Answer 1: I don't know. But there is a movie similar to the plot of the book it is called The Island. Great movie you should check it out it is pretty new. Answer 2: "Anthem" dealt with a future dystopia in which there was no technology and everyone lived in communal huts. "The Island" dealth… with a corporation maintaining a facility of clones that didn't know they were clones, everything was shiny and futuristic, and they all had their own rooms. I suppose then both plots were set in the future. As to a movie, I've not heard of any plans. It would be nice if they did, though. (MORE)
I would vote full support to Will Peterson's Triskellion Trilogy being made into a feature film. Hollywood better get a good producer and director. If they screw it up I'd be peeved.
