I am not fully positive, but I am sure that a bigger percent of students in America dislike school.

∙ 13y agoI'd think 70% would find it boring. For me it would be 50/50 cause you have your friends there [if you do] and on the other 50, you do boring work.

Everyone needs to be responsible for their own education. You should determine what you need to know and find a way to get that education. If you find school boring then find a way to learn what you want. If you find the other students mean, then find a way to get your education online or see if it is possible to switch schools.

Many students find that teachers have to slow down for some students to catch up, leaving students who already "get it" to sit in boredom. If asked, many of these students might say that if teachers made learning seem more fun then kids wouldn't be as bored. Other students question, "Why cant we just learn what we wanna learn and that's it?" But, schools have national standards of what all students should know or understand prior to graduation. Teachers do not have an option to skip or avoid certain subjects or topics simply because these seem boring to some students. As well, while one topic may bore certain students, it may be the exact subject that other students love! Since students have little choice about school attendance as mandated by law, students would do well to find some way to stay mentally alert, meaning, learn ways to focus and concentrate despite feeling "bored". Challenge yourself. If your homework is to read 10 pages, read 15 pages instead. When studying a topic, visit your library and find 5 short facts about that topic. Suggest to your teacher ideas for in-class learning that you would enjoy doing (or leading). Many schools purposely have students "teach" or "lead" one class, usually in high school. This helps students see just how tough it is to prepare a topic, keep everyone interested, and make good use of time allotted. If you do have a student-teaching experience, make the most of it. Go the extra mile. Show what you know as you "teach". Also really look at teachers you enjoy. What makes their classes go faster? How do you stay interested during those classes? You'll probably find that you are less bored when you feel the most passionate about a subject--- cultivate that in yourself. Be energetic. Be passionate and interested. You'll be surprised at how fast school flies. You'll be glad later if you've paid attention in school and learned all you could. This is why school is so boring and doesn't fly by fast at all. School is so fun and flies by in a minute!
